International Travel Security & Hostage Survival Training
International travel has always been an adventure, but in light of the events of September 11, 2001, such travel has become more difficult and, in some cases, a lot more dangerous. The basic preparation for international travel such as travel warnings, travel documents, preparations at home, notifications and proper packing take on new importance. Selecting the right hotel and room, using public transportation, threat awareness and understanding and avoiding high risk situations are important to avoiding the potential of becoming a kidnap victim or the victim of some other crimes.

Unfortunately, Americans are prime targets for terrorists and extortionists who kidnap their victims for ransom or for furthering their political aims.  What can you do to give yourself the best chance of survival and timely rescue in these situations? This is truly a situation where “knowledge is life.”
